Theatre sound pro John Leonard is well known for his library of clean field recordings of rare sound effects: Immersive FX. He recently helped me update his listings on Sound Effects Search.
There’s also a new Immersive FX package added here on the site: the 222 Collection (222 sounds, 4.7 gigabytes, $22.00). That library gathers all the hand-picked clips Immersive FX released via subscription during 2014. Here’s the SoundCloud preview:
All Leonard’s libraries feature embedded metadata.
Soundbits is a Web shop run by Saro Sahihi. They offer a number of packages including gore, whooshes, and more.
They also host a free pack, which they have just updated to include 67 sound effects. Check out the SoundCloud preview below, and download the free sound effects here.
Sound designer David Fienup has released Foley Plus (410 sounds, 1748 takes, $150.00) from his Soundopolis sound library.
It’s a huge collection of over two hours of kitchen, office, and bathroom sounds, along with footsteps, metal, chain, wood, leather, and more. Fienup crafted the pack to include multiple iterations that fill the holes in other general libraries.
