Sound designer Mattia Cellotto recently released a new sound library: Metal Groans and Slams (346 sounds, 1.5 gigabytes, $37.00).
The collection features reverberant metal shimmers, hits, and hollow tones. The bundle was captured with a combination of MKH 416, MKH 8040, JRF C Series microphones with a Vibe Tribe Speaker and a Slammy Pedal to a Fostex FR2. The contact microphone in particular provides very clean recordings.
Listen to a SoundCloud preview of the collection, below.
Cellotto explained his thoughts behind creating the sound library in a blog post. He also recorded a very cool “making of” Vimeo video of the collection.
