Community field recordist Tim Prebble has just released his latest collection from his Hiss and a Roar Web shop: Swish Two (258 sounds, 28.6 gigabytes, $179.00).
The collection features a diverse selection of source material, ranging from props such as bull roarers, feather dusters, whips, flags, tree branches, wind chimes, and more. Prebble also sourced ideas from the community via his Music of Sound blog, resulting in a comprehensive library of hundreds of whoosh sound clips. The bundle was captured at 192 kHz/24-bit fidelity using Sennheiser MKH8040ST, MKH70, and MKH8020 microphones. A 96 kHz-resolution version is also available.

Prebble also created a Vimeo video that provides a snapshot on how the collection was created.
The library is currently on sale for $99.00 until April 20. That’s a savings of $80 from the full $179.00 retail price.
