Austrian sound design outfit Luftrausch has just released a new sound fx library: Feared Instruments 01 (94 sounds, 436 takes, 15.3 gigabytes, €129.00).
Billed as “the missing link between music and sound design,” the collection features creative recordings of musical instruments intended for sound design applications. Interestingly, the unique and evocative nature of the samples stands out for not having been processed in any way.
The team captured the recordings with a Schoeps cardiod microphone. A Soundfield ambisonic microphone was added to contribute a surround version which is included in the price of the original pack.
