One of the most popular sound fx library requests I hear is for room tones. Web shop Luftrausch has risen to the demand to release 3rd Floor | Room Tones (28 sounds, 36 gigabytes, €99.00)
Totalling more than 2.5 hours of 4-minute long ambiences, the collection is a sonic study of a single building’s interior room tones.
Interestingly, Luftrausch also included designed takes of the rooms at half speed, as well. Another nice touch are the location-specific photos embedded in each sound file’s Soundminer metadata. That helps picture the audio to match your scenes.
Recorded in surround, B-Format, and stereo, the collection provides a wide variety of textures and tones from utility rooms, hallways, cellars, open spaces, and offices. Normally, room tones don’t vary an exceptional amount. However, you can hear the diversity in the pack’s SoundCloud demo.
