Field recordist David Moroz of Web shop Soundholder has just released an evocative new sound fx library: Roaring Stags (45 sounds, 2.15 gigabytes, $60 on sale for $30).
Featuring the groaning calls of wild stags, the new sound collection includes 45 files with a running time of 65 minutes. Moroz used a kit of 2x Oktava MK012s and a Røde NTG3 shotgun to carefully capture stag bellows and roars in the natural reverb of a forest.
Soundholder has also created a YouTube video of the field recording session capturing the wild stags. It includes a microphone comparison as well.
The Roaring Stags sound library is currently on sale for 50%. That brings the price to $30.
