Respected Web store Pole Position Production has released a new type of sound fx library. The veteran field recordists are well known for their vehicle and military sound library collections. They have recently released a sizeable collection of winter elements: The Snow & Ice Textures Library (553 sounds, 8.65 gigabytes, $199.00).
The new collection is called The Snow & Ice Textures Library, however it features a widely diverse assortment of sound effects gathered in wintertime. It includes:
- Skiing snow elements.
- Footsteps in snow.
- Wind.
- Ski lift elements.
- Branches breaking.
- Skis and pole Foley.
- Tires in snow.
- Body falls in snow.
- Ski jumps.
The tracks are recording with a variety of microphones, including DPA 4061s, Neumann RSM 191s, and Sennheiser MKH 60s.
