Web shop Sonic Salute is back with a fresh sound library of destruction: Monster Car Crashes (68 sounds, 1 gigabyte, $54.45).
The idea for the sound library came from work on the Danish horror film Dannys Dommedag. In the film, a giant monster attacks a car with the characters inside. The Sonic Salute recorded metal hits, impacts, and destruction to match the action on screen. The result is the Monster Car Crashes sound library.
The 192 kHz/24-bit package captures hits as well as a variety of additional actions (jumping on the roof, sliding, scraping), including axe and sledgehammer hits. The team used DPA 4061s and a Sennheiser MKH 416 to capture the performances, which you can sample in the sound clip preview, here:
