The folks at Tonsturm have released an impressive travel sound fx collection: Istanbul (99 sounds, 27 gigabytes, $159.00 on sale for $109.00).
The sound library features the sounds of the most populous city in Turkey. Istanbul is known for the Grand Bazaar and its mosques. Both notable locations are covered in the new package, as well as many others.
Luckily, the team had the help of director Sinem Sakaoglu, and was able to access restricted and rare locations. The result is a sound library totalling over 5 hours with 99 tracks, all recorded in 5.0.
The collection adds a number of rooftop recordings, designed to give perspective to the city. Having recorded a few cities myself, I know how difficult it is to get clean crowd sounds without overlapping traffic or music. Tonsturm’s 96 kHz/24-bit collection Istanbul delivers, as you can hear in the audio preview below:
There are two versions of the collection: a 5.0 version and a stereo version. They’re both currently on sale until the end of the year:
- 5.0,
$159.00on sale for $109.00. - stereo,
$129.00on sale for $99.00.
The team also produced a video for the sound library, which you can see here:
