Game audio pro and sound designer Chuck Russom shuttered his Web shop earlier this year. After a brief absence, the sound fx store returned rebranded as Sound Effects Monkey. Shortly thereafter the shop released an impressive new pack: Electromagnetic (1200 sounds, 3.300 gigabytes, $99.00).
Inventively captured using an induction coil pickup, the 192 kHz/24-bit sound clip collection gathers the sound of magnetic fields from everyday objects such as phones, motors, TVs, and more. The sound library also provides processed fx based on the original recordings. All 1,200 clips are embedded with iXML/BWF metadata.
