The folks over at SampleTraxx have returned with a musical sound fx collection: Cinematic Zither (223 sounds, 2.200 gigabytes, $45.00).
For the new sound library the team focused on capturing every conceivable sound from a zither. The performances include:
- Bowed fx.
- Drones.
- Reverse fade outs.
- Stingers
The effects were designed to create tension, fear, and apprehension. After listening to the sound library preview, I’d say they certainly do the trick:
The collection was recorded at 96 kHz/24-bit with Sennheiser 8040 microphones and a stethoscope microphone. It includes metadata, as well.
