Lately, we’ve had a few new releases from publisher Dramatic Cat. In this post, we’ll take a look at two of their new releases: Magnum 7250 and SF19 + Silencer.
Let’s learn more.
Magnum 7250
The first library features the iconic Magnum 7250 tractor from Case IH. The tractor is known as a powerhouse in the field – it is fueled by a turbocharged 8.7-liter engine pushing out a robust 250 horsepower.
The library showcases interior and exterior passes by, start and stops, idling, revs, and constant loops at various RPMs. Additionally, it includes acceleration and deceleration ramps suitable for granular synthesis tools, and useful for sound manipulation. With 9 synchronized channels of exterior and onboard perspectives — including the engine, exhaust, and cabin — this sound pack provides multiple mic perspectives that capture the powerful tractor in all its glory.
SF19 + Silencer
Transitioning from the field to the firing range, the SF19 + Silencer library presents the sounds of the SF19 4.5″ TB OSP semi-automatic pistol. This modern firearm, with its polymer frame and forged components, is a testament to modern engineering and design.
The library covers the firearm with shots recorded at various distances, with and without a silencer, and an extensive range of Foley sounds.
16 recording positions up to 80 meters away capture every conceivable angle and nuance of the firearm’s report in a total of 25 channels. High SPL microphones attached directly to the weapon capture the mechanical sounds, while other mics, such as the CO-100k, provide ultrasonic content and punchy low ends.
Both libraries come fully embedded with metadata, as well as with “game ready assets” – edited versions of their designed sounds, with individual variations designed to simplify implementation into game engines or audio middleware.
