Hardwood Footstep Sounds
Sneakers, slippers, and sandals. Walking, running, jumping. Scuffs, stops, and single steps. The Feet & Footsteps: Hardwood Sound Effects Library has all this and much more.
Need reliable steady hardwood footstep sounds? You’ve got it. Want a bit of character for your footstep sounds instead? That’s there too: takes include a changing style for those rare occasions you need to sidestep that “robotic” footstep feel to add more “human” nuance to you onscreen character’s motion.
Recorded at sound-design friendly 192 kHz, the collection features comprehensive coverage to ensure you have the tools you need to convincingly portray your characters moving on hardwood floors. There are 10 footwear types ranging from barefoot, boots, flip flops, and more. Each footwear type has 12 performances: the perennially usable walking, running, and jogging clips join climbing and descending stairs, tiptoe and crouch walking, jumping, scuffs, and others.

We covered the footsteps from every angle with multiple perspectives: nearby with a pristine Neumann U 87 microphone with two DPA 4011s close and an XY pair of Neumann KM 84s at medium distant for those scenarios where you need a bit of room. Bonus Pro Tools and Reaper sessions are included to help dive into editing immediately.
