Membrans is a sound clip Web shop based out of Hungary. To date they’ve released 12 sound libraries, including sound bundles such as Rally Cars, Analog Tape Noise, and others.
This week they released two new packs:

I’m always excited to hear what new libraries field recordists are releasing. Part of this is hearing the cool, fresh sound effects people are recording.
I also find it interesting to see how these libraries come about. What types of libraries are people releasing? What sort of collections do people crave? I learned a lot about this while browsing the great libraries everyone has released in the past year.
That’s the cool thing about using Sound Effects Search. You can see these stats side by side in a tidy chart. I’m a bit of a stats junkie. I thought it would be cool to compare them to see the trends in sound library creation.
For example, which packs are popular? How many sounds do people release? Are HD recordings in demand, or will CD-quality bundles do? Today’s article explores these questions, and more.
So, this post is for library creators. If you’re thinking about creating a sound collection, read on. The info will help you design a captivating sound library for your pro audio colleagues.

New Web shop The Noise Bureau has released a collection of Jaguar F-Type sound effects (263 sounds, 7.26 gigabytes, £130.00, metadata included).
The collection features exterior as well as onboard and interior perspectives. The Jaguar has a cool whining aspect, and the recordings pack a lot of punch.
Listen to the SoundCloud preview:
The bundle is provided at 96 kHz/24-bit with a split between 6-track and stereo files.
The library was produced by recordist Steve Browell. The Noise Bureau has two more vehicle sound libraries coming soon: a Range Rover Vogue, and a BMW I–3.

A quick update: the links for Spheric Collection have been updated.
Previously the links led just to the master shop page that listed every sound library. This was because their shop used JavaScript to display the libraries, which I couldn’t parse for direct links. However, I found a way around this and now Sound Effects Search links directly to each sound collection. Now you will be delivered to each discrete library page, instead of the master list.
Spheric Collection is a library of Ambisonic recordings. Their bundles include a wide range of sound effects from Fireworks, Rain, Large Hall Activity, and more.
Browse all 26 of Spheric Collection’s sound libraries.
