Sound designer Tommy Sarioglou of TS Sound has released a new designed collection: Drones and Tones (50 sounds, 1 gigabyte, $25.00)
Inventively sourced from a brass Tibetan singing bowl, Sarioglou processed the field recordings through a granular synthesizer. The result are a collection of 50 96 kHz/24-bit drones with a distinctive eerie, mesmerizing aspect.

As you’d expect, Hits and Whoosh (606 sounds, 922 megabytes, $32.00) is a sound design library featuring over 1,053 clips. The hits include impacts on metal, ice, flesh, rubber, asphalt, glass, water, and much more. The whooshes are predominantly air swishes, and include singles, swirls, and more at various speeds.

Mechanical Wave provides field recordings of six types of snowmobiles in Ski-Doo (80 sounds, 1.39 gigabytes, $25.00). The clips feature onboard engine recordings of a variety of speeds and intensities. There isn’t a SoundCloud preview for this collection yet, but you can hear a sample on the product page.
